Young Researchers in Biology of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region Congress

The association “Young researchers of Institute NeuroMyoGène (INMG)” and "CRCL young researcher association" organize the first edition of the Young researchers of region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Congress.
This congress will be open to all members of research institutes (doctoral students, researchers, ITA, etc.) in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, focus on young researchers from all areas of biology (myology, neurology, cancerology, immunology, plant biology, etc.). Because of the sanitary crisis, this congress will take place in an online and interactive platform NextTech AR.
In this virtual congress, the young researchers are invited to present their work in two different formats:
- Through 10 minutes’ presentation in video-conferences. These videos will be upload to the congress website and available during all the congress day (Important: the number of presentations will be limited to 10)
- Through posters that will be accessible during sessions specifically dedicated
The platform NextTech used for the congress will give us the possibility of communicating between youngers researchers through a specific chat for each presentation and poster. The exchanges and the communication will remain the heart of this event. At the end of the journey, a specific jury composed of professionals and non-specialists will choose the price of the best oral presentations and best posters.
During this process, we invite you to participate in the three scientific debates moderated by specialists in which you will have the opportunity to speak and give your opinions. The three debates will be focussed on the next topics:
- The place of ecology in the researcher laboratories
- CRISPR-Cas9/OGM and genetic manipulation in humans
- Politics and science: two worlds intrinsically related?
If you would like to make a presentation in one of the two formats, you will have until 30 April of 2021 to inscribed you and send us your abstract. The 10 selected abstracts for the oral presentation will be informed the week of Mai 10 and will receive all the steps to follow by email. For the non-selected ones, the possibility of presenting a poster will remain open. The inscription is compulsory and free for all the persons that would like to assist to this congress, and need to be done before June 4th 2021.
